Taylorville Care Center Services
Our progressive rehabilitation program helps our residents recover from surgery or injury. With our Short Stay Program, we work with our residents to help them function physically and mentally within their highest level so they can return to their own homes as soon as possible. We invite you to learn more about the finest in rehabilitative and long-term care at Taylorville Care Center.
Taylorville Care Center is a skilled nursing home with both short-term and long-term care programs. We value our residents as individuals and strive to have a positive impact on their health, comfort, and well-being. Nursing Care
Our skilled nursing care provides 24-hour support, and our nurses have the ability to administer medication and provide specialized therapies for those who require a higher level of aid. We also welcome residents who require minimal assistance with daily living, but desire the security and peace of mind knowing that our staff will attend to their health care and daily living needs as they arise. Whatever the need, we provide the highest standard of professional nursing care in a clean, comfortable, and pleasant environment.
Rehabilitation Therapy
We have an excellent rehabilitation program for our residents. We also offer a Short Stay Program for those recovering from surgery or injuries. Residents in this program can stay at Taylorville Care Center to receive therapy until they are ready and able to return to their own homes.
With our progressive rehabilitation program, we want our residents to regain as much mobility and independence as possible so they can return to their own homes. We are happy to work with patients on a short-term basis to help them recover from hospital procedures or surgery. Residents who’s health improves but still require extra help may consider joining our family at Taylorville Estates, our neighboring assisted living community.
Daily Living
Our residents enjoy fully furnished rooms that can be decorated to the preferences of each individual. We encourage family pictures, artwork, and special items that will make a room feel like home. For an additional fee, we also have private rooms available. We also have a barber and beauty shop on site.
Dining
Our registered dietitians prepare delicious, nutritional meals and snacks for our residents. We consider specific diets and personal preferences to provide meals that our residents enjoy. We offer a wide variety of meals and take advantage of the special tastes of each season. Meals are served in our attractive dining room which features linens and china place settings to enhance the dining experience. We also enhance the dining experience as our courteous staff serves meals tableside. And if a resident is unable to come to the dining room, room service is also available.
Activities
Our Activity Director plans a full schedule of daily activities to give residents the opportunity to socialize, enjoy traditional games, try new experiences, and participate in regular outings. Our goal is to provide an activity program that identifies each resident's own personal interests and abilities.
Patient-Centered Care
The care and comfort of our residents is our first priority. We operate with the philosophy that each resident should be nurtured, respected, and engaged in making decisions about their activities and health care. Our individualized care plans consider a resident’s health care needs, abilities, and their family’s input. Ultimately, we focus on fulfilling a resident’s wishes to the greatest extent possible.
Highly Trained Staff
We combine the expertise of registered nurses, physical and occupational therapists, a registered dietician, a specially-trained activity director, and many other quality staff members to provide the comprehensive care and support our residents need. At Taylorville Care Center, we take pride in the high level of education, training and experience our staff members have gained in their specific fields.
We have a full calendar of daily activities for our residents’ recreation and enjoyment. Our Activity Director schedules a variety of activities including cards, Bingo, and other games. Residents can also go on shopping trips, scenic drives and participate in an exercise class.
In addition to our recreation activities, we hold traditional religious services for all faiths and we invite our residents’ families to participate as well.
